Gotta Just Keep Moving

Alright so for the people that are about to read this I am sorry if this sounds like I'm complaining but that's kind of what this is but has a meaning to it. So this last week has been really hard for me due to some serious problems with my future schooling and some personal reasons and I have been in a depressing state. The main reason why I even mentioned that is to point out how it just blows my mind how it doesn't really matter in the aspect of everyone else's life. I am not saying that people should be aware of my emotions because thats not what I am getting at. I guess what im trying to say is that even though people around us all the time are going through something that they didnt expect, people just keep looking forward like it is just any other day. I have no room to talk because I do the same thing but it is just interesting to think about. Who knows, maybe the kid sitting next to me had their parent die last night and had their life change forever and I am sitting here blogging about the little things people really realize. Welcome Back Blog

Well hello blog that I haven't posted on in a really long time. It is just so hard to remember to post on this blog weekly and will more than likely end up losing points from lack of posts. So any way, I just got back from spring break and our next assignment is pretty much a paper on anywhere and i decided to write my paper on the Boise Zoo. I have never been to the zoo in boise before and I am interested to see what the history is behind it. I have only been to one zoo in my entire life and that was the san diego zoo which isn't anything to judge the boise one off of. I am planning on going for the first time tomorrow so I will post what it was like and hopefully a topic that I can talk about in my paper.

Tobacco the big thing

Through the process of creating my research project, I have come to find that I spent most of my time talking about the tobacco industry and how they lied to the public about the dangers of tobacco. So I think I decided to change my topic to how tobacco advertising affects mass media and people perceptions. This is a little more narrowed down so I can focus on just the cigarette company in particular. I went to the library on Friday and found a couple different books and a scholarly journal about cigarette advertising and the history of the tobacco industry so this will give my paper some depth and insight on the academic level. The bad thing is that since I changed my topic slightly, most of my rough draft isn't what I am writing about any more so I have to pretty much start from scratch. I feel like this will be a more in depth topic and hopefully result in a better grade.

Research Paper

I have had a lot of trouble coming up with an idea about what I would like to research. Nothing really seemed to come to interest at first and then I thought about the negative effects that mass media can play on peoples perceptions. I haven't got much done other than a little research and I was interested in the tobacco industry and how they manipulated the mass media into printing false stories so that people wouldn't know cigarettes are bad. I am also looking into what perception actually is and how it is effected in general because this would give me an idea to fall back onto and reference tho show that perception does change. I have a lot of work to do in the next couple days to get my paper where I want it to be but least I have an idea about where I want to go and how to get there.

Forgotten Assignments

It's weird how assignments that I forget to do are the ones that just jump right out of my head and then I never have to remember about them again. But the assignments that I finish and learn the information, and forget to turn in are the ones that stay with me. It isn't even about the information that I obtain it is the principle behind turning the work in, that I can't forget. It seems to me like forgetting about an assignment completely would be something that I would want to go back and finish just so I can understand the material but it never is that case. O how can I forget to turn in an assignment that is already completed just seems like a complete waste of time especially if i didn't learn anything. I might have just as well not done the assignment about bunnies that wasted 2 hours of my life that I will never get back just for a grade that i will never see.

Aliens It Could Be True

Alright to start of the semester we were asked to blog about something interesting and it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to start my blog with. So today my roommate found a Facebook post of alien sightings that had happened in the last couple years and it is astonishing how many different videos there are. For the last couple years me an my friends have been researching aliens and about the mysteries of 2012 and it just seems illogical for people to not believe that something is going to happen.
